Where the market stands

An honest picture of coverage on Finlane and what we're watching. We publish no aggregate statistics about buyers, providers or RFP volumes until the numbers are large enough to mean something.

Category coverage

A category is live when there is enough provider supply for an RFP to get real responses. Categories marked onboarding are open to providers but still building depth — you can publish an RFP in them, and should expect fewer responses.

What we're watching

  • Oversight moving down the chain. Licensed institutions are tightening what they require from the fintechs distributing their products, and those obligations arrive on buyers within weeks rather than years.
  • Consolidation among providers. Every combination is a roadmap review and a possible migration for that provider's existing clients — which is why exit terms belong in selection, not in renewal.
  • Business onboarding friction. Consumer identity is largely solved; business verification is not, and it remains the slowest part of most embedded finance builds.
  • Unbundling of the stack. Buyers increasingly separate licence, ledger and processing rather than buying them as one package — mainly so they can change one without changing all three.

Test the market yourself

The fastest way to learn what's available in a category is to put a structured requirement into it and see who answers.
