For consultants

Run provider selections for your clients — in one workspace.

Payments advisors, fintech consultancies, licensing specialists and fractional leaders use Finlane to work inside the client's sourcing record without taking ownership of it.

You are a consultant when you support the selection while the client owns the project, RFP and provider relationship.

From start to handover

How it works for you

  1. 01

    Set up your firm

Complete the consultant workspace with your firm details so client invitations and active engagements have a clear home.

  2. 02

    Accept scoped access

A buyer invites you by email to their organisation, a project or an individual RFP. The invitation shows exactly what it covers before acceptance.

  3. 03

    Work in the client's context

Open the projects and RFPs shared with you, continue eligible AI conversations, edit briefs and create client-owned RFPs where access allows.

  4. 04

    Support the live process

Review admin status, read submitted provider responses, inspect requirement coverage and participate in the buyer side of RFP conversations.

  5. 05

    Leave a complete record

The client retains ownership of the project, RFP, responses and files. Access can be revoked without transferring or duplicating the sourcing record.

What you get

One structured workspace

Client-centred workspace

Your dashboard is organised by client and shows only the organisations, projects and RFPs shared with you.

Three access scopes

A buyer can provide organisation-wide, project-level or individual-RFP access, then remove it when the engagement changes.

Learn more

Shared RFP tools

Use the same guided editor and AI RFP builder as the buyer while working on the client's draft and preserving client ownership.

Comparable response review

Read submitted responses with requirement coverage, notes, contact information, evidence, links and downloadable attachments.

Messages and activity

Work from the client-side RFP conversation and follow relevant workspace notifications and recent activity.

No provider-side disclosure

Consultant involvement is not exposed to providers; providers interact with the buyer side of the RFP rather than becoming project members.

The client stays in control.

A consultant can create and edit work only within accepted access. The client owns the record, and removing access closes the consultant's view without changing the RFP owner.

Useful details

Frequently asked questions

How does a client add me?
The buyer sends an email invitation covering its organisation, a project or one RFP. You can accept or decline from the consultant workspace.
Can I see all of a client's RFPs?
Only with accepted organisation-wide access. Project and RFP access remains limited to those named targets.
Can I create an RFP for a client?
Yes, when organisation or project access covers the work. The resulting RFP is owned by the client, not by your consultant account.
Can I use the AI RFP advisor?
Yes. Consultants use the shared builder in the client's context. Owner-only actions remain with the buyer.
Can providers see that a consultant is involved?
No. Providers are not project members and consultant involvement is not disclosed on the provider side.
What happens when access is revoked?
The consultant loses the revoked scope. The client's projects, RFPs, responses and history remain with the client.
